Saturday Wordzzle Challenge 99

I wrote this up on Saturday and just now typed it.  Sorry it is late, but here it is.
From CONNIE PICTURE THAT
This week's words were: thermometer, Pandora, vivid, langourous, Saturday, pancreas, apple dumplings, watch tower, lichen, sparrow and for the mini: rigid, spiritual, ribbon, web cam, vitamins
=============================================================
I am doing the mega, all words today.

Pandora was a witch with vivid red hair.  She lived in this giant old watch tower/  She felt langourous today.  She took out the thermometer from her medicine bag.  She checked her temperature and it read 99.6 degrees.  She got up and made herself a steaming  cup of lichen tea.  Her sparrow was pacing it's bird cage, hoping to be fed.  He especially liked those baby toads she threw him, or a nice juicy worm.

"I'm going to make me some apple dumplings today", she said out loud, to no-one.  She talked to herself all the time.
She remembered it was Saturday.
"Now where did I put that dried mummy pancreas?  It is a key ingredient in my love potion spell.  I will be needing that for Valentine's Day."

She forgot to take her vitamins yesterday, so she took 2 today.
She walked over to her  black witch hat, it was tall and rigid.  She put a ribbon in her thick, heavy hair and put the hat on her head.
She was going to talk to the Grand Wizard on her web cam.  Talking to him, always gave her a spiritual experience.

Maybe that love potion will work on him, she hoped.
======================================
Words for next week's 10-word challenge are: transfixed, treachery, basics, fragrance, sampler, pregnant, cartoons, lark, spartan

For the mini: rapid, camping, blandishments, transitory, plug-ins

Welcome to wordzzles! That was delightful! Pandora seems like a very sweet witch. I hope she doesn't need the love potion and the Grand Wizard falls in love with her all on his own. Happy Valentine's day.

That was a great piece. I loved "mummy pncreas" - how creative! Let's hope it works out for Pandora.

Ha - great story and great use of all the words! I wonder if you'd enjoy playing Boggle?
Thanks for your visit!
Funny how we get songs stuck in our heads forever, huh?
Happy Valentine's Day!
